we are proud to give to you today in memory, a three song EP recorded to benefit the Jana Marie Foundation, a Pennsylvania based 501c-3 charitable foundation.

the Jana Marie Foundation was created in memory of a beloved friend and family member who was lost too soon to suicide. it is dedicated to shattering the stigma of mental illness, with a focus on helping youth (especially young women) better understand and adapt to their struggles through community, creativity, and artistic expression. in March of 2017 the foundation recognized its five year annivesary with the launch of the Mokita™ initiative, inspired by the Kilivila (indigenous New Guinea) word loosely translated to mean "a known truth that is left unspoken". 

you can buy each song for $1 or all songs as an "album" for $10, with all proceeds from these songs will go to the foundation in perpetuity, and we release these songs to coincide with the first of May and the start of Mental Health Awareness Month. each day this month we will be posting something you may or may not have known about mental health in the US. today we'd like to remind you that approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S.—43.8 million, or 18.5%—experiences mental illness in a given year. think about all the people that you know. think about the friends who might be struggling. give them a call to say hi. you'll both appreciate it.
